A palette the mind fills; shadows bustling
like daybreak saints in the street glow—

On margins grey of dust,
there is wood burning;

rife smoke cusps the aria
lapping these thoughts.

With wildberry everywhere:

Milkshakes print onto scribbled kleenex;
a close-frame of the American rose tint.
