Kari A. Flickinger is a freelance writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her writing has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Rhysling Award. With roots in folklore, various mythologies, and modern pop-culture—especially music, her writing explores the implications of reader reception, mental illness, feminism, socioeconomic inequality, the physics of time, and occasionally dips into a broad technological discourse. She is a reader for Palette Poetry, and an alumna of UC Berkeley. When not writing, she serenades her unreasonably large Highlander cat, Bear.
