Roe v Wade-related

they want to force us
against our collective will,
insisting it is for the
greater good;
it is an excuse that hinges
on ignorance
because the greater good benefits
so few that is never worth it—
i tire of those who would
strip a woman of a power or her worth,
they would strip her of her magic and her
bodily autonomy rather than admit
they’re wrong;
and they want to view us as property
or broodmares and incubators
never as people—
they act as if those who get abortions aren’t those
whom we know,
as if they’re faceless villains that deserve
to be stoned to death;
but if they read the text they claim as theirs then they
would see that love is the choice they’re to be making
not hate, judgment, or rage.
