Our Republican senators are attempting to pull a fast one (one of many)—
to rig the impeachment trial and make sure
that NO WITNESSES be introduced.
Why? Is it because their case is so ironclad?
Or is it because they are scared?
Scared of Bolton’s upcoming book?

They are terrified of what The Truth might reveal.
So they prefer to leave as little as possible to chance.
The president scoffs at the trial. He does not take it seriously,
because in his twisted, saurian brain, he is as protected as The Teflon Don was
before he went to prison and died of throat cancer while behind the walls.
All through the presidency, Trump has made it clear how much he loves the mob:
the family, what they stand for, how loyalty & revenge are repaid, in kind.
Yet these blood-crazed fanatic Trump-lovers see nothing wrong
they only see a president doing whatever he can to further their agendas:
those of the Christian right, pro-gun, pro-wall, anti-immigration, pro-nationalism.

Deregulate EVERYTHING so that big business
may conduct their activities untethered and unencumbered
by petty trivialities like the environment and the lives of others.
Because the teachings of Jesus are only applicable
when it involves you casting judgment upon others
for their preference of who they take to bed
and summoning the spirit of Christ to
justify your Satanic President-in-disguise’s latest atrocities.
And our Washington politicians, they are tripping over themselves—
bending over to see who can prostrate themselves farthest,
to kiss The President’s feet (and then pucker UP for his ass).

No accountability. No problem.
Tho’ did we not separate ourselves from Britain
because King George was a tyrant?
That he did whatever he wanted without consequence?
And yet, now, The Monarchy possesses less power in their gilded crowns
than you, Mr. Dictator-du-Jour, do in your vile, wind-blown hairpiece—
that which is likely affixed with a tube of wood glue and the nuclear launch codes.
Yet The Right wants to amplify & accentuate this
out-of-control executive power, executive privilege
because it satisfies their basest base: the voters who voted through fear
The voters who said, “This country is going to Hell in a handbasket,”
repeatedly, for 8 long years during Obama’s respectable tenure.

Now, they are making America great again: FOR THEM—
GREAT for the minority of disenfranchised whites
who have grown sick and tired of
condescending, bleeding heart liberals
telling them that they need to ask peoples’ pronouns
and saying that they can’t, in fact, use the N-word
when they’re drunk and stumbling over the lyrics to N.W.A.
at the local dive bar’s karaoke rap contest.
“YOU CAN’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!” said they.
And now they are showing up to these rallies in droves,
drinking truckloads of Bud & Busch beer and
proudly showing off their AR-15s and “TRUMP 2020: FUCK YOUR FEELINGS” shirts.

These are clearly not the writers of history.
Tho’ they seem to take comfort in believing they are.
It shall ALL be explain’d soon
in a forthcoming book
about the Trump presidency called :
“WE WERE RIGHT, YA’LL”
by Ted Nugent, Jon Voight & Rush Limbaugh’s crack team of ghostwriters.
Another all-nighter passes forth in The Senate.
Napping in their chairs, The Republicans wipe sleep from their eyes,
they deny The Truth a thousand times before the cock crows but once.
They care naught for what most of this country wants.
Our minority-rule democracy is imploding.
Tho’ we have not yet finish’d exposing it for what it is:
a con game designed & engineered by fleeting generations of criminals
who know all too well that their time in power is waning.
They will do whatever they can to maintain that tenuous thread of control.
