The Senate Failed America

What did I tell you?
I knew it would be true—
that our senate is a collective of conniving cowards.
They voted “No” to hear from witnesses
in the president’s impeachment trial.

Why?
Because our president is SO INNOCENT
that if we introduce notions of evidence
then his house of cards will crumble faster
than Kevin Spacey’s career?
A president so represent’d by Dershowitz,
who fought for Jeffrey Epstein, O.J. Simpson—
two VERY not-guilty people.

His very summons implies (to me) GUILT.
Tho’ our president cares little, for he
can (and has, WILL) buy his way out of any problem that so arises.
And he is so used to it that it all seems normal (to him).
He has done this his entire life and will likely
attempt to bribe (or at least, extort) St. Peter in the hereafter.

Here is hoping that Heaven cares less
about heaping, Scrooge McDuck quantities of cash money & gold.
Here is praying that GOD, HIMSELF, cometh to strike him DOWN—
not necessarily with plague, but strike him DOWN with
the fruits of his own misgivings.

A new and exotic S.T.D. caught from a porn starlet, perhaps.
Cause his presidential prick to shrivel up smaller
than it already is. Make him rethink his methods, his insidiously criminal ways—
ways SO CRIMINAL that the government, itself, has to shut down any and all inquiries
as to an investigation, thereof.

Instead, we are fostering this madness—
fostering it in our MAD president
(who, in all honesty, should be simultaneously
lock’d in jail and in an old folks home)
and in the hearts of our mentally crippled white male youth.
Only child. Always spoiled. Always told he is the center of the universe.
Always reminded of how his gross imperfection is perfection
(to SOME).

Isn’t it amazing? Depending on your political views: Republican or Democrat—
I am either besmirching the name of the greatest president there ever was
or I am echoing The Unmitigated Truth from on high.
WELL, WHICH IS IT?????

I take comfort in knowing that history will see past its non-existent bank account—
see past its political agendas, its unquestioning, blind love of guns, “God”
and hatred of those whom are different: Any Americans south of us.
Anyone whose skin is so chanc’d to be brown.
Anybody whose family cometh from Muslim background.

The White Man cries on top of the crumbling mountain.
He knoweth his time is coming to an end.
That his superiority was only held true because of
money, forc’d servitude towards patriarchy & imperialist colonialism.
He only stays UP from beating DOWN as many others as he can.
His greatest victory: convincing the women to go along with him
and repeat his falsehoods.
But this one, yesterday?
‘Tis merely temporary.

I am looking to The Future.
I am looking to a time when my conservative countrymen will realize how foolish and simple they were—
they came to believe a crass, crude charlatan would save them, their country, their white nationalist “Christian” ideals.
Won’t they be surprised when God, when Jesus says to them,
“When I said, ‘That which you do
to the least of my brothers
is that you have done unto Me’
I actually meant it. And No, not with your foolish, misguided addendums (or addenda),
your additions of unabashedly selfish Libertarian contexts,
your footnotes of ‘Oh, he only meant US, OUR PEOPLE.’”
“Remember when the time came to be truthful?” adds God.
“And you turned your back upon it
in favor of your own bank accounts, your offshore holdings?”
And then, in the midst of the world turning quickly to inferno around thee,
you shake your head and attempt to comprehend, one last time,
the poetic justice that hath been serv’d to ye.
