Of paste-faced phallic wins denying rights
To women and minorities. Progress
Is slow when a majority of male
Lawmakers won’t advance equality.

Abortion rights, pay parity, many
Missed opportunities despite protests,
Sit-ins, and marches indicate being
Polite stalemates, knows Nancy Pelosi.

Belligerent with light came new insights.
She seized that manuscript. She let it rip.
