I
Oh, My mind right now is a sad, black rose
It showers in the sun, it melts with rain;
I can’t put thoughts into an empty prose
But words flow out like a purging drain.
You, an image of the wailing sky
That soars so high, a kite on the loose;
And I can’t stay still to look at you
For all I know, you are up so high.
You stay up there and what you choose
Is the loudest sigh of the truth so true.

II
All my sadness is a soliloquy
And no Shakespeare shall do no justice;
For your black is the light that shines on me
So the magic of tears is no more than this.
Oh, shine and shine so bright today
While the morning decides to write a song;
Happy were thoughts, sad is the mind,
I’m ready to listen to all that you say.
So we can sit tight before Time’s loud gong
And all those memories we might rewind.

III
Your grounded feet reach the farthest star
And you, the bright sea of a fairyland.
Yet your seven petals are black black tar;
The darkness in them turns Time to sand.
But the magnificence of a mood so dark
Is a verse that circumvents apathy;
So you do shine on a starless night
And sing songs of woe with my Skylark.
I don’t need no one’s empty sympathy
Give me tears of joy, a glimpse of light.

IV
And so this morn, you rise up with me
While I embrace my sordid excellence.
Your drowsy numbness is an ecstasy;
A hurricane of massive turbulence.
So this life is a game of dark collapse
And the mind is down with a dark fever.
Yet you’re blacker than the mood so black
Maybe it’s Time for a tragic relapse..?
All the world’s a stage, you the retriever
Of Hope and Faith that hath lost their track.
